Deadmau5 has taken a swipe at Lady GaGa's recent arty naked video - leading to a backlash from the star's fans.

The dance music producer used social networking site Twitter to pour scorn on the two-minute video, which GaGa revealed to the world last week.

He wrote: "What the actual f**k? If some idiot howls in the woods and noones around, does it make a sound? MYTH BUSTED.

And he then added: "Sorry, my previous link contains titties, NSFW.... in fact, not really safe for anything."

Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, was then subjected to a barrage of abuse from fans of GaGa.
He tweeted: "wow... all these tweets telling me to kill myself. the little monsters are pro suicide or something? not sure what to make of that."

But the backlash did not dissuade him from his mockery and he added: "Im inspired... gunna go bark at the moon for a bit, get back in the studio, bark at my computer screen and make duck noises. im an ARTIST!"
